{"id":3846,"date":"2024-11-27T17:26:05","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T16:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vamosalaplaya.xyz\/playa-de-los-muertos\/3846\/"},"modified":"2025-09-02T16:20:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T14:20:08","slug":"playa-de-los-muertos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vamosalaplaya.xyz\/en\/playa-de-los-muertos\/3846\/","title":{"rendered":"Playa de los Muertos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf0a Introduction: a spectacular beach, but one that has to be earned<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you come to Cabo de Gata and don&#8217;t go down to <strong>Playa de los Muertos<\/strong>, it&#8217;s like visiting Rome without seeing the Colosseum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But here, to see this jewel, you have to <strong>walk a little, sweat a little&#8230; and prepare yourself well<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located between <strong>Carboneras<\/strong> and <strong>Agua Amarga<\/strong>, in the heart of the <strong>Cabo de Gata-N\u00edjar Natural Park<\/strong>, this beach is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Turquoise water, unspoilt landscape, total silence (off-season, since all tourists are looking for this postcard).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s right: <strong>it&#8217;s not for everyone<\/strong>. And I&#8217;m going to tell you all about it, without filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-columns stk-block-columns stk-block stk-30a2984\" data-block-id=\"30a2984\"><div Amarga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udd7f\ufe0f There are <strong>two car parks<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One next to the viewpoint (more stairs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another a little further down (direct path, steeper)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcb0 In summer, parking <strong>is paid<\/strong> (about \u20ac4-5). Nothing else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf2c\ufe0f Beware of the Levante<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sea may seem calm, but when the <strong>Levante wind<\/strong> blows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The waves grow fast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are dangerous currents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sometimes swimming is prohibited (red flag)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 Check <strong>Windy<\/strong> or similar apps before you go. everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not very comfortable, nor easily accessible, and the entry into the water is not a gentle slope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if you take the time to walk down the long steep path, if you respect the place and experience it with open eyes\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s one of the most impressive beaches you can find in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, you don\u2019t come to put on a show: you come to feel, to float on your back looking at the horizon, and to remember why we love
