class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udccd Where is Cala de los Toros?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the road to <strong>San Jos\u00e9<\/strong>, about 1 km after the Amatista viewpoint, you\u2019ll find <strong>Cala de los Toros<\/strong> on the left, easily recognised by its palm oasis.<br>There are usually a few cars parked on the left side of the road heading towards San Jos\u00e9. After parking, follow the path traced through the scrubland that leads you down to the beach.<br>Truly beautiful, with wild palm trees forming a little oasis. Note: it\u2019s a pebble and coarse gravel beach, but it doesn\u2019t spoil the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is only <strong>1.3 km from La Isleta del Moro<\/strong>, and can only be reached on foot, which keeps it away from mass tourism. Free, but <strong>no shade<\/strong>. It fills up quickly in summer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\ud83d\udeb6 <strong>Access on foot<\/strong>: between <strong>10 and 15 minutes&#8217; walk<\/strong> along a dirt track. It&#8217;s not difficult, but <strong>it&#8217;s best to avoid flip-flops<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 Practical tip: travel light. The path is short but not suitable for lugging around cool boxes and huge umbrellas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfd6\ufe0f A wild cove, with no facilities (but with soul)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cala de los Toros is <strong>nature in its purest form<\/strong>. Stone, rock, a little coarse sand, <strong>crystal-clear water<\/strong> and lots of opportunities for <strong>snorkelling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no mobile phone coverage, no toilets, no bars. Just you, the sea and the sound of the wind in the trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udf0a What to do in Cala de los Toros?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. <strong>Spectacular snorkelling<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The cove has <strong>seabeds full of life<\/strong>. If you like snorkelling, this is an ideal place. There are colourful fish, rock formations and good visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f Warning: at certain times of the year (especially September), there may be <strong>jellyfish<\/strong>. Find out before you jump into the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. <strong>A quiet swim (with caution)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The water is transparent and usually calm, but <strong>there are no lifeguards<\/strong>, and <strong>there may be currents<\/strong>. Enter carefully and always wear water shoes: there are many stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>Relax, read, contemplate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cala de los Toros is perfect for <strong>spending a couple of hours in peace<\/strong>. Ideal for meditating, reading a book or simply looking at the horizon. And on many occasions&#8230; <strong>you will be almost alone!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83e\udded Recommended itinerary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude97 By car:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From Carboneras, San Jos\u00e9 or Rodalquilar, drive to <strong>La Isleta del Moro<\/strong> and continue towards the <strong>Amatista Viewpoint<\/strong>. Look for a small parking area by the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udeb6 On foot:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From the car park, follow the <strong>dirt track<\/strong> (about 700 metres) down the hillside.
